How a round is decided
- We lock a secret. Before you play, the casino picks a secret server seed and shows you its fingerprint (its SHA-256). The fingerprint can't be turned back into the seed, but it proves the seed can't change later.
- You add your own. Your client seed is mixed in, so the casino can't pick a seed that suits it. You can set it to anything.
- Each round has a number. Round 0, 1, 2 and so on. HMAC-SHA256 of the server seed with "client seed:round:block" gives a list of numbers between 0 and 1, and the game reads them in order.
- We reveal the secret. When you change your seed, the old one is shown. Paste it below and this page recomputes any of its rounds in your browser, without asking the casino.
How each game reads the numbers
- Slots
- One number per reel, left to right. Each reel is a strip of 42 symbols (two nines, four bars, six eddies, eight stars, ten diamonds, twelve paws); the number times 42 picks a stop. What you see above and below the line is the strip itself.
- Roulette
- The first number times 37, rounded down, is the pocket (0 to 36). All your bets on that spin settle on it.
- The wheel
- The first number times 54, rounded down, picks one of the 54 segments, each as likely as any other.
- Blackjack
- Each card uses the next number: times 52, rounded down, picks a card from a full deck. Cards go to you, the dealer, you, the dealer, then in the order they're drawn.
