The NCPD is played by real people. Here is what to expect when you meet them, on either side of the law.
A stop
- Pull over or stop walking. Keep your hands visible. Answer, or say you'd rather not.
- An officer may search you and seize anything illegal: synthcoke, drug packs, lockpicks, offensive quickhacks, stolen parts.
- Carrying a gun needs a licence (500 €$ at 2nd Amendment, Kabuki Market).
Fines
- An officer offers a fine; you accept or decline with
/interaction acceptor/interaction decline. - A fine is paid from your bank account. If it can't be paid, or you refuse it, you get a level 1 warrant.
/fine paysettles unpaid fines at any time and lifts the warrant.
Arrest and jail
- For a felony you are cuffed, searched, driven to NCPD Headquarters and booked.
- A booking is 1 to 120 minutes in a cell. A disconnect pauses the sentence; it continues when you are back.
- Walking away from the cell puts you back in it.
- You have the right to counsel. Ask for a lawyer.
Impound
A towed or seized vehicle is released at any garage for 500 €$.
